The Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya, has issued a notice regarding the further shortlisting of candidates for admission to the B.Sc Nursing Course under the State Quota for the academic year 2026-27.
The notice was issued on October 7, 2026, following reports that some candidates who had previously been shortlisted for the B.Sc Nursing course failed to report for acceptance of the course.
The admission process is being conducted with reference to Advertisement No. DHS(ME&R)/B.Sc.Nursing/2025/9/4294 dated July 27, 2026.
According to the Meghalaya DME notice, a number of eligible candidates who had earlier been shortlisted through Notification No. DHS(ME&R)/B.Sc.Nursing-Course/2025/9/6255 dated September 21, 2026, failed to report for acceptance of the B.Sc Nursing course.
The candidates next in the merit list had subsequently been shortlisted as eligible candidates for admission to the Meghalaya Government College of Nursing and Shillong Government College of Nursing through Notification No. DHS(ME&R)/CON/AdmissionB.Sc/2026/9/6643 dated September 30, 2026.
Following the availability of further seats due to non-reporting, candidates further down the merit list have now been declared eligible to appear before the Screening Committee.
The newly eligible candidates are required to appear before the Screening Committee on October 9, 2026.
The screening will be conducted at the Office of the Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research, DHS(MI) Building, Health Complex, Room 502.
Candidates can appear for the screening process between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on October 9.
