The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it is fully prepared to conduct the NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination on 21 June 2026 across India and abroad. The examination will be held in pen-and-paper mode from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, while eligible PwD/PwBD candidates will receive compensatory time until 6:20 PM.
According to the official press release issued on 19 June 2026, more than 22.79 lakh candidates will appear for the examination across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities.

The agency has also intensified monitoring of social media platforms to prevent rumours, misinformation, and malpractice. Complaints have already been filed with cyber-crime authorities, including I4C and the CBI, against individuals spreading false information.
Candidates must report to their allotted examination centre between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
The entry gates will close sharply at 1:30 PM, and no candidate will be allowed to enter after the deadline under any circumstances.
Candidates wearing customary or religious attire are advised to arrive early to allow sufficient time for security checks.

Electronic devices, calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, wallets, jewellery, metallic accessories, and food packets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
NTA has clarified that candidates facing biometric authentication issues due to technical problems, poor fingerprint quality, UIDAI connectivity issues, or physical limitations will not be denied entry.
Such candidates will undergo manual identity verification after signing an undertaking provided by the examination authorities.
