The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026 is being conducted today for candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The examination is exclusively open to candidates who have successfully qualified in JEE Advanced 2026 and completed the AAT registration process within the prescribed schedule.
The AAT serves as an additional eligibility requirement for admission to architecture programmes offered by participating IITs. Through this examination, candidates' aptitude in areas such as architectural awareness, observation skills, imagination, creativity, and drawing-related concepts is assessed.
Candidates appearing for the examination are advised to follow all instructions issued by the examination authorities and ensure they carry the required documents to the test centre. The AAT 2026 result is expected to be announced shortly after the examination, following which eligible candidates can participate in the admission process through JoSAA counselling.
Admission to IIT B.Arch programmes will be offered based on a candidate's JEE Advanced qualification status and AAT result, subject to meeting all eligibility requirements specified by the institutes.
