The Government of Andhra Pradesh has officially extended the policy allowing admission to vacant B.Sc Nursing seats based on Intermediate (Class XII) marks for the academic session 2026-27. The decision has been issued through G.O.Rt.No.731 dated 06 August 2026 by the Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department.

As per the Government Order, after the completion of all counselling rounds, any unfilled Convenor Quota and Management Quota seats in B.Sc Nursing colleges can be filled using the marks obtained in the Intermediate (Class XII) qualifying examination.

This provision is applicable to eligible candidates who may not have qualified in or appeared for the AP Nursing Common Entrance Test (APNCET), subject to the prescribed guidelines. The Government has decided to continue this admission process for the 2026-27 academic year to safeguard the interests of students and ensure that vacant seats are filled efficiently.

The Government has directed the Registrar of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences and the Director of Medical Education to take the necessary steps for implementing these orders.

This decision will provide an opportunity for many aspiring nursing students who were unable to qualify for APNCET or did not appear for the entrance examination to secure admission into B.Sc Nursing colleges in Andhra Pradesh, provided vacant seats remain after the regular counselling process.
