Assam University, Silchar has officially released the notification for the Second Phase Common CUET/Non-CUET Admission 2026 to fill the remaining vacant seats in various undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2026-27.

Candidates interested in admission must report in person to their respective departments on 4 August 2026 by 11:00 AM. The university clarified that candidates arriving after the reporting time will not be considered for admission.

UG Programmes Covered

The second phase admission will be conducted for vacant seats in the following programmes:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• B.Sc. + M.Sc. Computer Science (Integrated)
• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW Honours)
• Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA)
• Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA)

Important Admission Schedule

Candidates should note the following schedule:

• Physical Reporting: 4 August 2026 (by 11:00 AM)
• Admission Test (for eligible non-CUET candidates): 4 August 2026
• Publication of Merit List: 6 August 2026
• Admission Process: 6 August to 7 August 2026

CUET Candidates to Get Preference

The university has stated that:

• Candidates already on the waiting list from earlier admission rounds do not need to apply again.
• Waiting-list candidates can directly report to their respective departments.
• CUET-qualified candidates will receive preference over non-CUET applicants.
• Candidates who were allotted seats earlier but did not complete admission may not be considered in this round.

Admission Test for Non-CUET Applicants

Non-CUET candidates will have to appear for a 100-mark Admission Test, which may include a written examination and/or personal interview.

However, if an adequate number of CUET-qualified candidates report for admission, the concerned department may decide not to conduct the admission test.
