The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notice regarding post-result declaration facilities for Class 12 students following the announcement of the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks or wish to review their evaluated answer sheets can now apply for scanned copies of answer books, verification of issues observed, and re-evaluation through the prescribed process.
According to the notification, CBSE has reduced the fees for these post-result services to make the process more accessible and student-friendly. Students can apply for a scanned copy of evaluated answer books from May 19 to May 22, 2026, with the revised fee reduced from 700 to 100. The verification process will begin from May 26 to May 29, 2026, and the fee has also been reduced from 500 to 100.
For re-evaluation, students will be charged 25 per question instead of 100 per question, making the process significantly cheaper. CBSE has also clarified that the fee will be refunded if marks increase after re-evaluation.
The board stated that these steps have been introduced after receiving concerns and representations from students regarding evaluation and to ensure a fair, transparent, and student-friendly system after the introduction of On Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12 answer sheet evaluation in 2026.
