The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a major update regarding the CUET UG 2026 exam city allotment, announcing that 96.6% of candidates have been allotted one of their preferred cities, while 79% received their first choice.
Out of the total 15,68,866 registered candidates, only 3.4% candidates could not be accommodated in their preferred cities due to high demand and limited capacity in certain exam centres.
To address this, NTA has now opened a re-allocation window for affected candidates. Through this facility, candidates can select alternative cities from available vacant slots on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Candidates who were not allotted their preferred city should immediately log in to the official portal Click here and select a new city as early as possible to secure a convenient exam centre.
