CUET UG 2026 Exam Rescheduled for Candidates Affected by Technical Glitch on May 30 Shift 1

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the rescheduling of the CUET (UG) 2026 Shift-I examination held on 30 May 2026 for candidates affected due to an unexpected technical glitch at certain exam centres. According to the official public notice, delays were reported during the commencement of the examination, prompting NTA to initiate a detailed root cause analysis through its technology service provider, TCS.

As per official data, 73,106 candidates were present at allotted examination centres and completed biometric registration for the examination. Out of these, 69,341 candidates (approximately 95%) successfully completed their test on 30 May 2026 (Shift-I). However, due to delays caused by the technical issue, 3,765 candidates were unable to wait for the examination to resume and left their centres without appearing for the test.

NTA has clarified that, as a one-time measure, these 3,765 affected candidates—whose biometric attendance was successfully completed but who could not take the exam due to the glitch—will be given an opportunity to appear in a rescheduled CUET UG 2026 examination. The revised exam date, admit card details, and schedule will be announced separately through official channels.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official NTA and CUET UG websites for fresh updates regarding the rescheduled examination, admit cards, and other important announcements. Students facing issues related to admit cards or examination details may also contact the NTA Help Desk for assistance.Click here
