The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has officially released an important notification regarding the HPCET 2026 (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) schedule for the academic session 2026–27. As per the notification dated February 26, 2026, the university has announced the inclusion of additional undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with their respective examination schedule. This update is significant for candidates planning to pursue professional and science-based courses through the HPCET entrance examination.

According to the official timetable, the examinations will be conducted over two days. On May 9, 2026 (Saturday), exams will be held for B.Sc HM&CT/BHMCT (Hotel Management & Catering Technology) and M.Sc Environmental Sciences from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following this, on May 10, 2026 (Sunday), the M.Sc Physics examination will be conducted during the same time slot, i.e., from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The university has advised all affiliated institutions and candidates to carefully note the examination dates to avoid any clashes with other entrance tests or academic commitments. It has also been confirmed that this updated schedule will be included in the official Information Brochure for the 2026–27 academic session.
