The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has officially released the schedule for the Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) 2026, which serves as the gateway for admission into maritime courses offered at IMU campuses and affiliated institutes across India.
According to the latest updates, the IMU CET 2026 application process started on 6 February 2026 and will continue until 24 April 2026. Candidates can apply online through the official IMU admission portal.
The IMU CET 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on 24 May 2026 in computer-based mode across multiple test centers in India.
This national-level entrance exam is conducted annually for admission into a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate maritime programs such as B.Tech (Marine Engineering), B.Sc (Nautical Science), Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS), MBA, and M.Tech courses.
The admit cards are expected to be released in May 2026, while the results and counselling process will begin shortly after the exam, likely in June 2026.
Candidates who qualify in IMU CET will be eligible to participate in the centralized counselling process for admission to IMU campuses located in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, and Kochi, as well as other Directorate General of Shipping (DGS)-approved institutes.
Aspirants are advised to check eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus carefully before applying to ensure successful participation in the admission process.
