The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially released the first mock seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2026. Candidates participating in the counselling process can now check their probable seat allotments for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs based on the choices submitted so far.
The mock allotment has been published to help candidates understand their current admission prospects and make informed decisions before the final choice-locking process. Students are advised to carefully review their allotted institute and branch combinations and modify, reorder, add, or delete choices if they wish to improve their chances of securing a preferred seat.
The mock allotment does not guarantee final admission and serves only as an indicative allotment based on the choices entered by candidates and the available seat matrix. Candidates can continue making changes to their preferences before the final choice-locking deadline announced by JoSAA.
According to the counselling schedule, the Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on June 13, 2026. Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will subsequently have to complete online reporting, fee payment, and document verification procedures within the prescribed timeline.Click here
Students are strongly advised to use the mock allotment period wisely, analyze previous cut-offs, review branch preferences, and finalize choices carefully before the final locking process.
