The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially extended the deadline for submission of DNB, DrNB, FNB and Post MBBS Diploma accreditation applications for the January–May 2026 application cycle. As per the official notice released on June 1, 2026, the extension is applicable to hospitals, institutions, and medical colleges seeking accreditation with NBEMS for various postgraduate medical programmes.

Earlier, the last date to submit online applications for accreditation was May 29, 2026. However, NBEMS has now revised the timeline and extended the deadline, giving institutions additional time to complete the accreditation process.

According to the revised schedule, the last date for submission of online applications for accreditation is now June 15, 2026, while the last date for receipt of hard copy (spiral bind) documents at the NBEMS office has been fixed as June 30, 2026. Institutions applying for accreditation are advised to complete documentation and submission well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

NBEMS stated that applicant hospitals, medical colleges and institutions can seek assistance or clarification through the Communication Web Portal available under the “Contact Us” section on the NBEMS website.
