The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an official clarification regarding reports of alleged irregularities linked to NEET (UG) 2026, following action initiated by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG).

According to NTA, the NEET UG 2026 examination was successfully conducted on 3 May 2026 under full security arrangements across all examination centres. The agency stated that question papers were transported in GPS-tracked vehicles with unique and traceable watermark identifiers. Examination halls were monitored through AI-assisted CCTV surveillance, along with biometric verification of every candidate and the use of 5G jammers to prevent unfair practices.

NTA further informed that on the late evening of 7 May 2026, it received inputs regarding alleged malpractice connected to the examination. These reports were immediately escalated to central agencies on the morning of 8 May 2026 for independent verification and further necessary action.

The agency stated that the recent detentions reported in media were carried out by law enforcement agencies as part of their professional investigation. NTA confirmed that it is fully cooperating by providing all examination-related data and technical support required for the inquiry.

NTA also assured students and parents that the integrity and hard work of genuine candidates remain protected. The agency said that no conclusions will be drawn until the investigation is completed and any required decisions will be taken transparently in consultation with the Ministry of Education.
