The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2026 registration deadline has been extended, giving candidates additional time to apply. As per the official update, the last date to complete the application process, including fee payment, is now April 12, 2026 (11:30 PM).

NEST 2026 is conducted for admission to the prestigious 5-year Integrated MSc programmes offered by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

The examination will be held on June 6, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at multiple exam centres across India. Candidates who have not yet applied are strongly advised to complete their registration before April 12, 2026, to avoid last-minute issues.
