Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has officially revised the eligibility criteria for admission into pharmacy courses under CEE 2026 through a new corrigendum issued on 02 May 2026.
According to the official notice, candidates seeking admission into B.Pharm and other Pharmacy courses must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and/or Mathematics from a recognized Board, Council, or University without grace marks.
A major update in the revised eligibility criteria is that students who have completed their 10+2 qualification through non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling systems, such as the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and various State Open School systems, will now also be considered eligible for admission into the B.Pharm course.
This change has been made following the guidelines issued by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) through its reference dated 12 January 2026. The university has clarified that apart from this revised clause, all other eligibility conditions mentioned earlier in the CEE 2026 admission notice will remain unchanged.
This update is important for many students across Assam and other regions who completed their schooling through open education systems and were waiting for clarity regarding Pharmacy admissions.
Candidates are advised to carefully review the revised eligibility criteria before applying for admission and regularly visit the official SSUHS website for further admission-related updates.
