The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME&R), Tamil Nadu, has announced the reopening of the online application window for MBBS and BDS Degree Admissions for the 2026–27 academic session.

According to the official notification, the decision has been taken after receiving representations from students who were unable to complete their registrations within the earlier deadline. The reopened application window is only for candidates who have not yet submitted their applications.

Reopened Application Schedule

Candidates can submit their applications according to the following schedule:

• Online Application Starts: 26 July 2026 (10:00 AM)
• Last Date to Apply: 27 July 2026 (3:00 PM)

The Selection Committee has clarified that this is a one-time extension, and no further extension will be granted after the revised deadline.

No Editing of Submitted Applications

The authority has clearly stated that editing of already submitted applications will not be permitted under any circumstances.Since the scrutiny of previously submitted applications is already underway, allowing modifications would delay the admission process.

However, candidates who have already submitted their applications with minor clerical or typographical errors need not panic. Such minor mistakes will be appropriately verified during the document verification and scrutiny process.

Candidates Yet to Apply Should Complete Registration

Eligible candidates who have not submitted their applications should:

• Visit the official Tamil Nadu medical admission portal.
• Complete the online registration.
• Upload the required documents.
• Submit the application before 27 July 2026 (3:00 PM).

Applications received after the revised deadline will not be accepted.
