The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Kilpauk, Chennai, has announced an extension of the online application deadline for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic Diploma Nursing Courses for the 2026-27 academic session.

As per Notification No. 01/SCSIII/2026 dated September 2, 2026, the last date for submission of online applications has been extended following the receipt of several representations from candidates.

Tamil Nadu Nursing Admission 2026: Last Date Extended

Under the revised deadline, candidates can now submit their online applications for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic Diploma Nursing Courses until September 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications should complete the process within the extended application window. Applicants are advised to carefully follow the instructions issued by the Selection Committee while submitting their applications.

Reason for Application Deadline Extension

The Selection Committee has extended the application deadline after receiving many representations from candidates seeking additional time to submit their online applications.

The revised deadline gives eligible candidates additional time to complete and submit their applications for the concerned nursing courses.
