The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the last date for admissions to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes for the February 2026 academic session, giving additional time to students to apply through recognised universities.

As per the official update, the admission deadline has been extended from March 30, 2026 to April 10, 2026. Additionally, the last date for HEIs to submit admission data on the UGC DEB portal has been extended to April 13, 2026.

It is important to note that UGC does not conduct direct registrations or admissions. Students must apply through UGC-recognised universities or institutions offering ODL and online programmes.
