The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an official notification announcing the schedule for the Special Stray Vacancy Round for UG AYUSH courses under UGNEET-2025. The round has been introduced after the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) extended the last date of admission to 23 January 2026, following directives from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India

This additional round will facilitate allotment of vacant AYUSH seats remaining after the 4th stray round, including seats cancelled or unreported during earlier allotment stages (as per KEA notification dated 16-01-2026)

Important Dates for Candidates

Who Can Participate?

Candidates may participate if they:

• Are UGNEET qualified
• Have not been allotted any AYUSH seat in earlier stray vacancy rounds
• Have original documents + required Demand Draft (DD)

The notification also permits candidates who did not register with KEA under Clause-Y to report with documents and DD for available seats

Who Cannot Participate?

The following categories are not eligible:

• Candidates already allotted AYUSH seats in previous rounds
• Candidates allotted seats in medical/dental streams during 2nd, 3rd or special rounds
• Candidates who reported to colleges through All-India / Central / Deemed counselling rounds
• Candidates allotted seats in any stray vacancy round earlier

Payment Requirement

Eligible candidates must submit a Demand Draft (DD) for the full course fee, payable to the Executive Director, KEA, Bengaluru, at the time of reporting

• BHMS

• BAMS
