The Directorate of Medical Education & Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, has released an official notification detailing important instructions and eligibility conditions for candidates participating in the Special Stray Vacancy Round of UP NEET UG Counselling 2025.

According to the notification, only those candidates are eligible for the Special Stray Vacancy Round who have not been admitted to any seat in previous rounds of UP NEET UG 2025 counselling or in counselling conducted by other states. Candidates who were admitted or reported after allotment in any earlier round will not be eligible to participate.

Registration Fee and Security Deposit

Candidates participating in the Special Stray Vacancy Round must complete fresh registration and deposit a non-refundable registration fee of ?2,000. Additionally, a mandatory security deposit must be paid based on the type of seat opted:

• ?30,000 – Government Medical/Dental Colleges

• ?2,00,000 – Private Medical Colleges

• ?1,00,000 – Private Dental Colleges

Candidates opting for both medical and dental seats must deposit the higher applicable security amount.

Refund and Forfeiture Rules

The notification clarifies that the security deposit will be refunded only after the counselling process is completed, subject to rules. However, candidates who are allotted a seat in the Special Stray Vacancy Round and fail to take admission will face forfeiture of the security amount and will be debarred from UP NEET UG counselling for the 2026–27 academic year.

Document Upload and Verification

Candidates must upload all required documents online during registration, including:

• NEET UG 2025 score card

• High school and intermediate mark sheets

• Category and domicile certificates (if applicable)

Only documents issued in the prescribed format by the Uttar Pradesh government will be accepted for reservation benefits.

Mandatory Participation Conditions

The authority has emphasized that:

• Candidates must fill fresh choices for the Special Stray Vacancy Round

• Choices from earlier rounds will not be considered

• Failure to deposit the security amount will result in disqualification from allotment
