The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has announced the Online Mop-Up Counselling process for BCECE 2026 for admission to remaining vacant seats in B.Tech courses offered by government engineering colleges and other participating institutions in Bihar.

According to Advertisement No. BCECEB (BCECE)-2026/14 dated August 29, 2026, the mop-up counselling will be conducted after completion of admissions through the previously held first and second rounds of online counselling.

The remaining vacant seats will be filled on the basis of the BCECE-2026 merit list for the PCM/PCM of PCMB Group. Seat allotment will be carried out on the basis of merit-cum-choice of the candidates.

The vacant seats available institution-wise, course-wise and category-wise have been made available on the official BCECEB website.

Bihar BCECE 2026 Mop-Up Counselling: Who Can Participate?

Candidates belonging to the following categories will be eligible to participate in the Online Mop-Up Counselling:

• Candidates who have already taken admission to engineering institutions through the first or second round of BCECE 2026 online counselling but wish to participate in the mop-up counselling.
• Candidates who did not receive any seat allotment in the first or second counselling rounds.
• Candidates whose previously allotted seats were cancelled for any reason.
• Candidates who could not visit their Reporting Centre for Document Verification after seat allotment.

Eligible candidates must complete the prescribed Willingness and Choice Filling process to participate in the mop-up round.

Courses and Institutions Covered

The Online Mop-Up Counselling will be conducted for remaining vacant seats in undergraduate engineering courses after completion of the earlier counselling rounds.

The process also covers:

• B.Tech courses offered in various government engineering colleges of Bihar.
• B.Tech (Dairy Technology) at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology, Patna.
• Various first-year engineering courses offered at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women's Institute of Technology, Darbhanga, under Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga.

The remaining vacant seats will be allotted according to the BCECE-2026 merit list and candidates' choices.
