Important Rule for Candidates Seeking Institution Change

Candidates who are already admitted through an earlier counselling round and participate in the final round for institution change should carefully consider their choices.

If a candidate receives a new seat allocation in the 4th and final online counselling, admission at the previously allotted institution will be automatically cancelled.

The candidate will then be required to complete admission at the newly allotted institution.

Therefore, candidates should select only those institutions where they are willing to take admission.

Choice Filling: No Limit on Number of Choices

Candidates have to submit their preferred institutions through the “Click here for All Online Counselling-JCECEB 2026” link available on the official JCECEB website.

There is no restriction on the number of choices that a candidate can select.

JCECEB has advised candidates to select as many preferences as possible according to their preferred institutions and available seats to increase their opportunity for seat allotment.

Candidates should carefully arrange their choices in order of preference before submitting them.

Candidates participating in the 4th and final online counselling round have to pay the prescribed non-refundable counselling/interview fee through the online payment gateway.

The fee can be paid through:

  • Credit Card

Category-Wise Counselling Fee

Seat Allotment and Admission

After completion of registration and choice filling, JCECEB will process the choices and issue the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter on September 24, 2026.

JCECEB has stated that if suitable candidates are not available against reserved seats during the fourth and final counselling round, such reserved seats will be regulated according to the resolution issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Government of Jharkhand, as mentioned in the notification.
