The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the PGCET 2026 First Round Seat Allotment Schedule for admission to MBA, MCA, M.E./M.Tech and M.Arch courses for the academic year 2026-27.

As per the schedule, eligible candidates will be required to enter their preferred course and college options online. KEA will first publish a mock allotment result, after which candidates will get an opportunity to modify, reorder, delete or add choices before the actual seat allotment. The schedule is contained in the KEA notice dated September 10, 2026.

The schedule published by KEA provides the above timeline for the first round of PGCET 2026 seat allotment.

PGCET 2026 Option Entry Begins September 11

Eligible candidates will be able to enter their course and college preferences from 11:00 AM on September 11, 2026.

The option-entry window will remain open until 9:00 AM on September 17, 2026.

Candidates should carefully arrange their preferences in the order in which they wish to be considered for admission.

Mock Allotment Result on September 17

KEA will publish the PGCET 2026 mock allotment result after 6:00 PM on September 17, 2026.

The mock allotment is intended to help candidates review their likely allotment based on the options entered by them.

After checking the mock result, candidates can modify their choices.

Option Modification Window

Candidates will be allowed to change, reorder, delete or add course/college options after the publication of the mock allotment.

This facility will be available from:

September 17, 2026, 6:00 PM to September 19, 2026, 11:00 AM

Candidates should use this period to review their preferences carefully before the real seat allotment is processed.

First Round Seat Allotment Results

KEA will publish the first-round provisional real seat allotment result after 5:00 PM on September 19, 2026.

The final first-round real seat allotment result will subsequently be published after 4:00 PM on September 21, 2026.

The allotment will be based on the applicable merit/rank, seat matrix, reservation/roster provisions and the priority of options entered by eligible candidates.

Candidates Must Exercise Choices After Allotment

Candidates who receive a seat in the first round will have to exercise the applicable choice after the final allotment.

The choice-exercise window will remain open from:

September 22 to September 24, 2026, up to 5:30 PM

Candidates should carefully read the applicable instructions before selecting their choice.

Fee Payment and Confirmation Slip

Candidates selecting the applicable Choice 1 or Choice 2 option will have to complete the prescribed fee-payment process between September 22 and September 25, 2026, during banking working days and hours.

Choice-1 candidates will also have to download their Confirmation Slip after completing the required formalities.

Last Date for College Reporting

Candidates who are required to join the allotted institution must report to the concerned college along with the required original documents and confirmation slip.The last date for reporting for Choice-1 candidates is:

September 26, 2026, before 5:30 PM. 

Candidates should complete the admission and reporting formalities within the prescribed deadline.
