The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced the Special Round of Online Counselling for admission to B.E./B.Tech Regular Courses for the academic session 2026-27. The counselling is being conducted for seats remaining vacant in different branches of engineering colleges and institutes across Jharkhand.
The Special Round has been scheduled in compliance with the Revised Academic Calendar 2026-27 issued by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on August 13, 2026. Admissions will be conducted on the basis of the State Merit List prepared through JEE Main 2026 results.
The counselling will cover vacant seats in Government colleges, Private colleges and Engineering Institutes operating under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

The Special Round will be open to candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech Regular Courses on the basis of the JEE Main 2026 result and Jharkhand State Merit List.
Candidates who are already admitted through an earlier round of online counselling and want to change their branch or institute against the remaining vacant seats can also participate in this Special Round.
However, JCECEB has specified that if such a candidate receives a new seat allocation, it will be mandatory to take admission in the newly allotted branch or institute. The candidate's earlier admission will automatically be cancelled, and the vacant seat will subsequently be available for allotment to another eligible candidate on a merit-cum-choice basis.
New candidates can submit the online application form through the "Click here for All Online Application Submission - JCECEB 2026" link available on the JCECEB portal.
Candidates who are already registered and want to participate in choice filling can use the "Online Counselling for Admission in Engineering (Regular) - 2026" link.
Candidates should carefully complete the application and choice-filling process within the dates prescribed by JCECEB.
Candidates receiving a provisional seat allotment during the Special Round will have to complete the required certificate/document verification and admission formalities between September 3 and September 10, 2026.
Candidates are advised to follow the instructions issued by JCECEB and complete the admission process within the prescribed deadline.
According to the notification, the remaining terms and conditions mentioned in the earlier Advertisement No. JCECEB/40/26-24 dated June 23, 2026 and Advertisement No. JCECEB/40/26-30 dated July 2, 2026 will continue to remain applicable.
