The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the schedule for the 3rd Phase Online Additional Counselling (6th and 7th Rounds) for candidates who appeared in UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2026 but have not yet secured admission. The additional counselling is being conducted for eligible candidates belonging to Uttar Pradesh as well as other states.

The counselling covers Group-A, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1 to K8 and L courses. Candidates who have not been allotted a seat in the earlier counselling rounds can participate through the official JEECUP counselling portal.

UPJEE Polytechnic 2026 Round 6 Schedule

Candidates eligible for the sixth round can fill their choices from August 21 to August 23, 2026. The Round 6 seat allotment result will be declared on August 24, 2026.

After seat allotment, candidates must select the Freeze option and deposit the applicable security and counselling fee through their login. The document verification process for freeze candidates will be conducted from August 25 to August 29, 2026, while the last date for admitted-seat withdrawal is August 30, 2026.

The last date for Participating Institute (PI) reporting for Round 6 is August 31, 2026.

The seventh round of additional counselling will begin with choice filling from August 31 to September 2, 2026. The Round 7 seat allotment result will be announced on September 3, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 7 will have to deposit the security and counselling fee through their login. The document verification process will be conducted from September 4 to September 8, 2026, while the last date for admitted-seat withdrawal is September 9, 2026.

The last date for Participating Institute reporting for Round 7 is September 10, 2026.

Who Can Participate?

The additional sixth and seventh rounds are open to qualified candidates from Uttar Pradesh and other states who appeared in UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2026 but remain non-admitted.

Candidates who were not allotted an institution or course in previous rounds can participate in these additional counselling rounds, subject to the eligibility conditions specified by the council.

Candidates must log in to the official counselling portal using their login ID and password and enter their preferred institution and course choices. Candidates can enter as many choices as they wish.

No Float Option in Round 6 and Round 7

A major point for candidates is that the Float option will not be available in the 6th and 7th additional counselling rounds.

Candidates receiving a seat must select the Freeze option. After selecting Freeze, candidates are required to deposit the applicable Seat Acceptance Fee and Counselling Fee of Rs. 3,250 online.

Candidates who fail to deposit the required fee or complete document verification within the prescribed period will have their allotted seat cancelled and may become ineligible for the subsequent counselling stage.
