The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 has announced the tentative schedule for Special Round 1 and Special Round 2 for admissions to B.Tech, M.Tech Integrated and B.Des programmes. The special rounds will consider candidates qualifying through JEE Main 2026, CUET (UG) 2026 and 10+2.
Under Round 6 (Special Round 1), registration was conducted in two phases, with Phase 1 completed on May 25, 2026 and Phase 2 completed on August 9, 2026. Candidates who were allotted a seat earlier and did not withdraw from it are not eligible to participate in the special round.

The Special Round 1 fee is ?20,000. Candidates should note that the schedule specifically states that there will be no refund if a seat is allotted. Candidates allotted a seat must physically report within the specified period. If an allotted candidate fails to report, the seat will be treated as cancelled and no refund will be provided.
Round 7, or Special Round 2, will begin after the completion of Special Round 1. Candidates who were allotted seats earlier and have not withdrawn will not be permitted to register for this round.

Candidates participating in Special Round 2 should complete registration, fee payment, document verification and choice filling within the prescribed deadlines. The seat allotment for Special Round 2 is scheduled for August 27, 2026.Click here
Candidates should carefully complete the counselling process within the notified schedule. Those allotted seats must complete physical reporting within the specified dates. As per the schedule, non-reporting after seat allotment will result in cancellation of the allotted seat, and the fee will not be refunded.
The special-round counselling is applicable to admissions based on JEE Main 2026, CUET (UG) 2026 and 10+2 eligibility, as specified in the UPTAC 2026 schedule.
