The Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun, through the Uttarakhand State Centralized Counselling Board for Nursing/Paramedical 2026, has released important instructions regarding the Round 2 admission procedure for candidates participating in the centralized counselling process.
The notice was published on September 4, 2026 and explains the admission procedure for both already admitted students whose seats have been upgraded and candidates receiving a seat allotment for the first time in Round 2.
The final date for completing the admission process for candidates allotted seats in the second round is September 8, 2026.
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 must complete the required admission process within the prescribed timeline.

Candidates who fail to provide the required documents to the concerned institution by September 8, 2026, or are found ineligible during document verification, may have their allotted seat cancelled immediately.
Candidates receiving a seat allotment for the first time in Round 2 must follow these steps:
Candidates should report personally to the allotted institution within the prescribed timeline.
Candidates who were already admitted in Round 1 and have received an upgraded seat in Round 2 must complete additional formalities.
Candidates whose seat has been upgraded from one Government College to another Government College should:
Candidates upgraded from one private Nursing/Paramedical college to another private institution must similarly:
Candidates upgraded from a private Nursing/Paramedical college to a Government Nursing/Paramedical college must:
Candidates whose previously admitted seat has been retained and who have not received any upgrade in Round 2 are not required to take any additional action.
Their admission will continue at the previously allotted institution.
If a candidate's seat is upgraded due to a change in the allotted category while remaining in the same institution, the candidate must download the new allotment letter and submit it to the concerned institution within the prescribed period.
The candidate must then complete the admission formalities according to the updated allotment.
The counselling board has clarified that seat allotments are made on the basis of the information submitted by candidates during the online application process.
The allotment is provisional in nature.
At the time of admission, the concerned institution will verify the candidate's required original documents, including documents related to:
Admission will be granted only after the institution verifies that the candidate meets the prescribed eligibility criteria.
The notice also states that only the rules and conditions mentioned in the Information Bulletin will be considered valid for admission. Invalid certificates will not be accepted, and an undertaking, affidavit or acknowledgement cannot be submitted in place of a required certificate.
The final date for completing admission under Round 2 counselling is September 8, 2026. If a candidate fails to provide the required documents or complete the admission process by the prescribed deadline, or is found not to meet the eligibility criteria during verification, the allotted seat may be cancelled immediately.
Candidates should therefore complete the admission formalities well before the deadline.
Candidates who were already admitted in Round 1 and whose seat was not upgraded during Round 2 will retain their previous admission.However, such candidates may have the opportunity to participate in Round 3 counselling for further upgradation, as per the separate instructions to be issued by the counselling board.The board has stated that detailed instructions for Round 3 counselling will be issued separately.
Candidates should carefully read the Information Bulletin before completing the admission process.
