The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) has released the online counselling schedule for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course under the 15% VCI Quota for the academic year 2026-27.

As per the counselling schedule, Round 1 registration and fee payment will begin on August 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Candidates will also be able to fill and lock their choices during the same period.

The VCI counselling process will include Round 1, Round 2 and a Stray Round for filling available seats, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions.

VCI BVSc & AH Counselling 2026 Schedule

Round 1

The Round 1 registration and choice-filling window will remain open for six days, followed by the seat allotment process and reporting period.

VCI BVSc & AH Counselling 2026 Round 2

Candidates participating in the second round will have a shorter registration and choice-filling window.

VCI BVSc & AH Stray Round Counselling 2026

VCI will conduct a Stray Round after completion of Round 2 to fill vacant seats, if any.

Candidates interested in participating in the Stray Round must pay the prescribed Stray Round fee.

Important Rules for VCI Stray Round 2026

VCI has clarified that the Stray Round will be conducted only for vacant seats, if any, after completion of Round 2. Details of vacant seats will be notified on the VCI Counselling Portal.

There will be no fresh registration fee for the Stray Round. However, candidates must pay the prescribed Stray Round fee of ?50,000 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ?25,000 for SC/ST/PH candidates.

Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2, whether they have reported to the allotted college or not, will not be eligible for admission through the Stray Round.

Choice Locking Deadline

Candidates should pay special attention to the choice-locking deadline.

According to the schedule, choice locking will be available from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on the last day of registration for the respective round.Registration for each round will close at 11:55 PM according to the computer server timings.Candidates should therefore avoid waiting until the final minutes to complete registration, fee payment and choice locking.
