AP B.Sc Nursing Admission 2026: Dr NTRUHS Applications Open for NEET UG 2026 Candidates

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has issued a notification inviting online applications and scanned original certificates for verification for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing 4-Year Degree Course for the academic session 2026-27.

Admission will be conducted for Competent Authority Quota seats in Government Nursing Colleges and eligible private unaided nursing colleges affiliated with Dr NTRUHS in Andhra Pradesh.

AP B.Sc Nursing Admission 2026: Application Dates

Eligible candidates can submit the online application form and upload the required certificates within the prescribed schedule.

The same application will be considered for all rounds of counselling, subject to fulfilment of the applicable eligibility criteria.

Seats Covered Under Competent Authority Quota

The notification covers the following seats:

  • 100% seats available in Government Nursing Colleges affiliated to Dr NTRUHS.
  • Category A seats (60% of intake) in Private Unaided Non-Minority Nursing Colleges affiliated to Dr NTRUHS.
  • Category A seats (60% of intake) in the Private Unaided Minority Nursing College covered by the notification, including the College of Nursing, Christian Medical College, Vellore, Chittoor Campus.

The total seat matrix for Competent Authority Quota will be published on the university website before web counselling begins.

NEET UG 2026 Mandatory for B.Sc Nursing Admission

Candidates seeking admission must have appeared in NEET UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency.

The State Merit Position will be prepared based on the NEET UG 2026 rank and other prescribed eligibility criteria.

After verification of uploaded certificates, the university will publish the provisional merit list followed by the final merit position.

Eligibility Criteria for AP B.Sc Nursing 2026

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed by Dr NTRUHS.

Nationality and Local Status

The candidate must be an Indian National and should satisfy the applicable Local or Non-Local status requirements of Andhra Pradesh under the prescribed admission rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Intermediate under the 10+2 pattern or an equivalent examination with:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology, including Botany and Zoology
  • English as a compulsory subject

Candidates who completed Intermediate Vocational education must have the prescribed Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences.

The minimum marks requirement is:

  • OC candidates: At least 45% marks in Science subjects
  • BC/SC/ST candidates: At least 40% marks in Science subjects

Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age by December 31, 2026.

Candidates who do not attain 17 years of age by December 31, 2026 are not eligible to apply.

There is no upper age limit specified in the notification.

PwBD Candidates

Candidates seeking admission under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category must indicate their PwBD status in the online application.

Such candidates are required to appear before the Medical Board constituted by the Competent Authority for determination of eligibility under the PwBD category.

Candidates must have the required UDID card and valid disability certificate, issued not earlier than three months before submission of the application, as specified in the notification.

AP B.Sc Nursing Application Fee 2026

The application and processing fee is as follows:

Candidates should scan and keep the required original certificates ready before beginning the application.

Important documents include:

  • NEET UG 2026 Rank Card
  • Date of Birth Certificate / SSC Marks Memo
  • Intermediate or equivalent examination marks memo
  • Intermediate/Equivalent Transfer Certificate
  • Equivalency Certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, wherever applicable
  • Two-year Intermediate study certificates
  • Study certificates from Class 6 to Class 10
  • Documents supporting Andhra Pradesh Non-Local status, wherever applicable
  • Local Status Certificate, wherever applicable
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Minority Certificate / BC-C Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • PwBD certificate, if applicable
  • Latest parent Income Certificate / valid White Ration Card, if applicable
  • PIO/OCI certificate, if applicable
  • Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID
  • Latest passport-size photograph
  • Candidate's specimen signature

Candidates should ensure that all documents are properly scanned and clearly visible before uploading.

Application Can Be Rejected for Incomplete Documents

Dr NTRUHS has warned that applications may be rejected automatically if:

  • Mandatory certificates are not uploaded.
  • Application details are incomplete.
  • Photograph or signature is missing or incomplete.
  • Uploaded certificates are not clearly visible.
  • Certificates are improperly scanned and eligibility cannot be determined.

Candidates should verify the entire application before final submission.

Merit List and Certificate Verification

The university will scrutinise the uploaded information and certificates.

A provisional merit list will be released after scrutiny, followed by the final merit position.

Candidates should regularly check the official university website for subsequent notices regarding web counselling and exercising web options.

The merit position itself does not constitute final acceptance of candidature. Eligibility will be verified on the basis of the original documents and prescribed conditions.

Original Document Verification at College

Candidates allotted seats will have to submit the printout of the filled online application form, personal verification status and original certificates along with one set of self-attested copies to the Principal of the allotted college at the time of joining.If any discrepancy is found during verification, the provisional allotment can be cancelled.Candidates should not send the printout of the application form to the university.
