The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the schedule for Round 3 of Post Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (PGEAC)-2026 for admission to M.Tech courses in Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar.

The notice, issued under Advertisement No. BCECEB(PGEAC)-2026/10 dated September 9, 2026, is a continuation of the earlier Round 3 application and willingness notices issued on August 30, 2026. Candidates who are qualified and eligible under the PGEAC-2026 prospectus and who submitted the required online application, consent or willingness have been included in the Round 3 counselling programme.

Bihar PGEAC Round 3 Counselling 2026

The Round 3 counselling is being conducted to fill vacant M.Tech seats remaining after the second counselling round, which was held from August 10 to August 14, 2026.

Unlike the earlier online application process, the Round 3 counselling/interview will be conducted offline at the BCECEB office:

Candidates included in the merit list must appear for counselling on their scheduled date and time with the required original certificates and documents.

PGEAC Round 3 Counselling Schedule 2026

Reserved Category Candidates Must Report as per UR Merit

BCECEB has clarified that reserved-category candidates who competed under the Unreserved (UR) category have been included in both the UR category and their respective reserved categories.

Such candidates must report for counselling according to their UR merit serial if they wish to exercise an option for a course or institution available under the UR category.

If a candidate fails to appear on the scheduled UR counselling date, the available seat may be allotted to a candidate with a lower merit position.

Documents Required for PGEAC Round 3 Counselling

Candidates appearing for Round 3 counselling must bring the required original certificates and documents for verification.

Important documents include:

• PGEAC-2026 Rank Card
• Matriculation/Equivalent Examination certificate or marksheet
• Intermediate Science/Equivalent certificate or marksheet
• B.E./B.Tech marksheets of all years/semesters
• CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate, wherever applicable
• Bihar Residence Certificate, wherever applicable
• Caste Certificate, if applicable
• Physically Disabled Certificate, if applicable
• NPR Card, if applicable
• C.L.C./T.C.
• Migration Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Downloaded PGEAC-2026 Online Application Confirmation Page
• Verification Slip – 2 copies
• Biometric Form – 1 copy
• Six passport-size photographs uploaded during the online application
• Any other document required under the PGEAC-2026 prospectus

Candidates who were admitted through the PGEAC Round 2 counselling and are appearing for reshuffling must also bring their admission receipt and bonafide certificate from the concerned institute.

Seat Allotment Based on Merit and Document Verification

After verification of the candidate's original certificates, documents and identity, eligible candidates will be allowed to exercise their course and institution options from the seats available at their merit serial.

The course or institution will then be allotted merit/rank-wise according to the PGEAC-2026 prospectus.

Candidates should note that inclusion of a PGEAC ID in the counselling list does not guarantee admission. Candidates in excess of the available seats have also been called to ensure that vacancies arising due to absenteeism can be filled.

Important Rules for Candidates

Candidates should carefully follow the Round 3 counselling rules:

• Candidates must appear on their scheduled date and time.
• A candidate who misses the scheduled date may report later during the counselling period of their respective category, but will have to choose from the options available at that time.
• Once a course/institution is opted for and allotted in the concerned category, a subsequent request for change of course or institution in the same category will not be entertained.
• Admission fee and other applicable charges must be deposited at the concerned college at the time of admission.
• Candidates found ineligible under the PGEAC-2026 prospectus or applicable orders may have their candidature rejected.

PGEAC-2026 Third Round Rank Card

BCECEB has also uploaded the Third Round Rank Card of PGEAC-2026 on its official website.

Candidates can download their rank card using their PGEAC ID and Date of Birth. The official BCECEB website lists the Third Round Rank Card among the available downloads.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates included in the PGEAC-2026 Round 3 counselling programme should:

1. Check their PGEAC ID and category in the official counselling schedule.
2. Download the Third Round Rank Card.
3. Check the counselling date and reporting time.
4. Carry the required original certificates and documents.
5. Carry the PGEAC application confirmation page, verification slip and biometric form.
6. Report at the BCECEB counselling venue on the scheduled date.
7. Exercise course/institution options only after carefully checking the available seats.
