The Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam has announced the second round of offline counselling for nomination of candidates to vacant seats in four-year degree courses at the Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (RIPANS), Aizawl for the 2026 session.
The notice dated September 11, 2026, has been issued in continuation of the earlier educational notice dated July 28, 2026. The counselling will be conducted for vacant seats allotted to the Government of Assam.
The second-round counselling will be conducted offline at the following venue:

Interested and eligible candidates are required to appear for counselling according to the notified schedule with all relevant documents in original.
The second-round counselling will be conducted for the following vacant seats:

A total of 6 vacant seats are available across the three programmes listed in the notice.
Candidates must have appeared in the specified entrance examination and secured the prescribed minimum marks to participate in the counselling.

Candidates should ensure that they meet the applicable minimum marks requirement before appearing for the counselling.
Candidates called for the second-round offline counselling should appear with their relevant documents in original.
They should carefully check the admission requirements and keep all applicable educational, entrance examination, category and other supporting documents ready for verification.
The Assam DME has clarified that being shortlisted or called for counselling does not guarantee admission or allotment of a seat.

Once all advertised seats in a particular course are filled, the allotment process for that course will close immediately, even if other candidates called for counselling are still present or waiting to participate.
Candidates are therefore advised to reach the counselling venue on time and complete the required verification process.
