Counselling Does Not Guarantee Admission

The Assam DME has clarified that being shortlisted or called for counselling does not guarantee admission or allotment of a seat.

Seat allotment will be made strictly on the basis of:

  • Candidate's merit
  • Availability of seats at the time of counselling
  • Eligibility and applicable admission rules

Once all advertised seats in a particular course are filled, the allotment process for that course will close immediately, even if other candidates called for counselling are still present or waiting to participate.

Candidates are therefore advised to reach the counselling venue on time and complete the required verification process.
