The Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Chennai, through the Selection Committee, has released the tentative Round 2 online counselling schedule for the Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharm) course for the 2026-27 academic session. The counselling will be conducted for re-allotment or fresh allotment of government seats in government colleges and government quota seats in self-financing colleges.

All candidates belonging to special categories whose names appear in the Eligible List published on the official website, irrespective of their rank, are required to participate in the counselling process.

For Round 2, online registration and payment will commence on October 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM and will remain open until October 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The counselling process is applicable to candidates from rank GR 001 to GR 12718 and total marks ranging from 99.00 to 40.33.

Candidates participating in the D Pharm Round 2 counselling have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of INR 250 through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. Candidates who had already registered for the previous round of online counselling and paid the INR 250 registration fee do not need to pay the registration fee again.

The choice filling and locking facility will be available from October 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM to October 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates who want re-allotment of their course or college must register for Round 2 and complete fresh choice filling and locking. The seat allotted to such candidates in Round 1 will become available for choice filling during Round 2.

Candidates who opted for upgradation from their Round 1 allotted seat and receive an upgraded seat in Round 2 will have to vacate their previous seat. Such candidates will not be permitted to retain their Round 1 seat after receiving a Round 2 allotment.

Candidates who registered during the previous phase but were not allotted a seat in government medical colleges, as well as candidates who did not participate in the first phase of online counselling, can participate in Round 2, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions.

The Round 2 allotment result is scheduled to be published on October 9, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will be able to download their provisional allotment orders from October 10 to October 14, 2026, up to 3:00 PM. Candidates must report to the allotted college or institution on or before October 14, 2026, by 5:00 PM.

The Selection Committee has advised candidates to exercise caution while filling their choices. Once a candidate locks the selected college or course options, the choices cannot be changed later. Requests for changing a college from one institution to another after the option has been exercised will not be entertained.

The seat matrix for the D Pharm courses will be published on the official websites. Admission to D Pharm courses will be made through online counselling based on rank and the applicable reservation rules. Detailed procedures for online counselling will also be made available on the official website.

Candidates should also note that the Selection Committee will not be responsible for connectivity errors during the online counselling process. Candidates are therefore advised to complete registration, payment, choice filling and locking well before the respective deadlines.

Candidates selected for admission must download their provisional allotment order and join the concerned medical college or institution within the prescribed date and time. At the time of reporting, candidates must produce their original certificates in person along with scanned copies of the original certificates to the allotted college.

Selected candidates will also have to submit a self-declaration form at the time of joining. The declaration states that the candidate's selection or admission may be forfeited if suppression of facts, misrepresentation or other discrepancies are found during or after admission to the course.

Failure to report to the Head of the Institution of the allotted college within the specified date and time will result in cancellation of the candidate's selection and/or admission without any further notice. Candidates are also strictly advised not to share their login ID, password or OTP with anyone.
